Strategy & Approach

Audionote was tasked with designing and implementing a sophisticated Audio-Visual environment for Sony Music’s main boardroom — one that reflects the organisation’s deep connection to sound quality, creativity, and technology.

The solution centred around an immersive 11.2-channel surround sound system capable of supporting advanced audio formats including Auro3D and Dolby Atmos. This allows the boardroom to deliver studio-quality playback while also supporting intelligent audio processing for both surround and stereo content.

To ensure optimal performance, the sound system was carefully calibrated using both acoustic expertise and precision measurement tools, allowing for accurate audio reproduction across a wide range of music genres.

The boardroom environment also integrates professional video conferencing capabilities, enabling seamless collaboration with artists, partners, and teams around the world. An intuitive control interface ensures users can easily manage conferencing, audio playback, and room functionality from a central touch panel.

The equipment includes:

• The Marantz AV7705 11.2 Surround Sound Processor, and the necessary amplifiers.
• B&W CWM 8.3D In-Wall, B&W CWM 8.5 front high, and B&W CCM682 In-Ceiling speakers.
• 2 B&W ISW-4 In-Ceiling Subwoofers installed with B&W amplifiers.
